1-year Anniversary! YEAH!

On this very day in 2004, I had made intentions known to my dear at 3.15am in the chilly night air of Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Australia. How time flies! It's been 1 year since we're together as a couple, yet everyday feels like the first day we're together as a couple. Words can't express how special she is to me. We had a great time in Bangkok, and before we can even rest ourselves thoroughly, it's time for our most important anniversary yet! I'm gonna have an adrenaline overdose soon...

We met up at her place and cruised down to SIX Restaurant (that's the NAME of the restaurant, not the NUMBER of restaurants we went to, you numb skull) at Six Battery Road. SIX Restaurant at Six Battery Road, get it? GET IT? Duh...

Anyway, SIX is a Japanese restaurant with really cool decor and ambience, and we wasted no time to order our favourite: Salmon Sashimi! It's huge, it's fresh, and it's bouncing off our tongues! Nah, just kidding on that last one, but the bottomline: it's damn good.

After dinner, we exchanged gifts! She'd gotten me a card, a belt, and a photo album for my office desk! Now I can gaze at her picture whether at home or at work! Sweet... And I guess the belt acts as a reminder to watch my waistline :P It's really heartwarming to read her card... but you shall read none of it here! Neh ned nee boo boo... :P :P

As for her, I'd gotten her a card and a Fossil watch. Her expression said it all. I think she likes it! Now, if only I didn't accidentally let her caught a glimpse of the watch's receipt... Always trust myself to make a blunder at the most unfortunate moments, eh? :(

Today marks a very important milestone for our relationship. It's a testimony of our commitment to each other, and it's simply awesome that we started this love via long-distance phone calls. We've come long way, and tomorrow shall be another important day in our lives: going to M'sia to meet my parents! I'm absolutely certain that my family will love her and accept her :)

Here's to our 1-year Anniversary dear, and for many many more anniversaries to come!

I LOVE YOU DEAR!!!

Bangkok Tour! (Day 4 + 5)

The concert's over, so what's left? Shopping, of coz! Today, we visited the temple of the Reclining Buddha, the temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, and MBK the renown shopping mall. It could have been a normal tourist day, if not for the neverending whining of a lovestruck girl. No, she's not a fan of mine. Apparently, she fell head over heels over this boy soloist from another school. The funny thing was that even my roommate, the English HOD of that boy's school, heard about this girl. Sigh... puppy love... Go find a cage somewhere else!

The even more bizzare thing was this girl kept forgetting the boy's name! She never fail to annoy me with her endless enquiry about the boy's name, then forgot about it in 10 mins' time. Oh someone please deliver me from this puppy...

Ah heck, since it was a sight-seeing day, feast your eyes with the sights below. No, not MY 'below'. :P

We departed Bangkok on Day 5 and it was an otherwise pretty eventless day. So, heck that too.

So, that's it for my Bangkok tour. Not too bad, but I'm sure I would enjoy it more without the kids and the conductor. Next stop: S'pore and M'sia!
