I was having dinner with my firends at Heritage north indian food restaurant. Suddenly, I got an SMS. Guess who? It's Ms N! I didn't reply her last SMS yesterday coz I thot the conversation was over, and now she message me to check if I'd received her message coz she think it's quite unlike me to not reply her (I'm always the one to send the last SMS during our chats :P).
Oh, the joy, THE JOY! Jubilation! :D

Chalet!
Just returned from a class chalet with my NIE classmates. This might just be the very last chance for us all to be together again, before we go our separate ways into schools...
Brought PS2, but no one wanna play. Brought DVD player, but no one wanna watch, till I started showing Spirited Away and left it on. Helped Wee Lee to start a fire at the BBQ pits. It was so hot that I think Hell may be a better place to be. :P Thanks to Elaine, Pearlyn, Junhui for being so kind to serve us 2 food and drinks during our ordeal. Marvelous sushi! Fabulous beehoon! Sumptuous chicken wings! OK bak kut teh... :P Sorry lah, but my place's bak kut teh is still the best...
Prepared a lindy hop session with Elaine since last week, but everyone's so shy to try... felt quite disappointed lah... but thanks for the few brave souls who heeded my call! Betcha had fun for trying, eh?
Thot I can sneak a chat or 2 with Ms N during chalet, but didn't expect that she's not staying overnight... sigh, fate has a funny way of making things happen (like we just HAPPENED to bump into each other at Jurong Point the other day) and things not happen (like this).
The late night programme was The Eye 2. Since I've watched it before, I had more fun watching the other audiences get shocked. Afterwards, me and Wee Lee slept in the living room to make space for the girls. And what did they say when they took over our room? "Eeee... so smelly... must be coz got guy's smell..." (!?) Then some other girls were giggling away about how fair and hairy the other sleeping guy is... :P
Started Day 2 with a morning swim and a dip in the jacuzzi to massage our sore backs from sleeping on the floor. So relaxing... felt like I could crawl back into bed and sleep the day away. Dream on. Have to check out with the most unfriendly staff of the chalet. What's with the long face, pal?
Watched The Day After Tomorrow at night today. Confused? The show's the kind of stuff you expect from Roland Emmerich, so there's really not much to say here. He must really hates New York City coz he blasted it in Independence Day, trampled it in Godzilla, then flooded it in this show.
(Note: I SMS Ms N today. Let's just say what's not done last night may yet to happen still in the near future... :P)

Day 4 + Day 5
We now continue our programme of the evening:
Day 4 - the day of anticipation. I had discussed with my parents the best restaurants in Klang to bring Ms N. Went to watch Troy with mom in the afternoon coz dad's having dinner outside that nite and mom decided she don't want to join us "youngsters" for dinner for fear of not fitting in our conversation topics (I SWEAR she sensed something about this "guest"!). The show's not too bad, with credible performances from Eric Bana and Brad Pitt. However, my phone received a SMS from Ms N after the show, and my heart sank. Ms N felt ill while in Chinatown and almost fainted, so she's resting then and couldn't make it to dinner anymore. I was more worried than disappointed, but thankfully she's fine. She was very apologetic about how things turned out. SIGH... Imagine my sense of lost... Looked like it was not meant to be...
Day 5 - the day of my departure. Mom "forced" me to watch Ju-On with her in the morning. Jeepers Creepers! I didn't watch this in the cinema last time and boy, am I glad! The shock factor was still quite prominent on TV. Anyway, my parents sent me off at Klang KTM station. With warm hugs from both of them, I left them, again. It's always sad for me, and I always struggle to keep the tears in as the train pulls away. Haven't shed a tear since 1997. Always think that I should find a chance to do that again.
I SMS Ms N on the train. She felt better already. We promised each other we'll message each other when we're bored on our journey back to Singapore. I think I walked with a skip in my steps afterwards. :) The train trip was an agonizing 7-hr ride, with the most slap-worthy kids in my cabin. I tell you, I've yet to see mothers so weak at parenting. This kid was making high-pitch squeaks and annoyed the hell out of everyone. My neighbour stuffed her ears with headphones and blasted her MD player, while I purposedly cover my ears with my hands to show his mom my utter displeasure. She just kept going, "Diam! Diam! (Quiet! Quiet!)" and bitch-slapping the kid right in the face. Did he shut up? Surprise, surprise. The kid changed from high-pitch squeaking to high-pitched crying. I had it. I snapped. I grabbed my wallet and literally ran for my dear life to the canteen cabin. Sheesh...
11pm, home at last. Hoped I wouldn't have nightmares about screaming kids, but prayed I would dream of her.
(Note: That was 16/5. In retrospect, I dreamt of nothing that night. D'oh!)

Sidetrack...
Recently, I attended a seminar regarding kids with special needs namely Dyslexia, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism. After the talk, I made a very important conclusion:
Gollum (Smeagol) is Dyslexic, ADHD, and Autistic.
What do you think? :P

Genting! (Day 3)
Man, can you believe that I'm typing this, like, almost 2 weeks after it happened? Ah heck, I'm always playing catch-up after things. Moreover, my previous photo hosting site sucks, so I have to find another site. Anyway, here goes Day 3:
Woke up around 8.30am and guess what? Wee Lee had already been to the casino and back, and lost more than what he won the previous night. No wonder the hotel's window can't be fully opened. The only place where people can jump off should be planes, not hotels.
Had breakfast that's ok. OK to feed dogs, that is.
After we pack our room, we take the Skyway cable car down the mountain. The experience of the cable swinging out into the valley, while hanging on to that cable for dear life, was a heck of an experience. I noticed that we all wore the same pair of shoes for the past few days, so I just snap this pix.

It didn't occur to me that yesterday was too sunny, until I removed my themepark wristband last night. Hello zebra!

Once we reach the bottom, we grabbed the first bus tix to KL that we could find. Being the internet addicts that we are, the first agenda once we reached KL: find an internet cafe. Instead, we found this place with interior lightings that look like a brothel... in the day! Well, RM 1.50 for half an hour net time was really cheap, so we dun mind much. Zhang Yan bid us an early goodbye and ditched us two lonely dogs.
Now this is the part concerning my pre-Genting posts: the Ulterior Motive girl(hereby called Ms N). What a coincidence that she's coming to KL the same time as us! So we just contacted her to meet at Berjaya Times Square. However, Wee Lee wanna look for a Louis Vuitton wallet for a friend back in S'pore, so we just zip our way to KLCC in a cab. No luck, and we might be late to meet Ms N. Imagine my stress...
Sidetrack a bit though, the way Malaysians cross the road is just unbelievable. Wee Lee and I actually took the effort to classify them into: (1) 超级联邦人 - crosses the road when there's a window in the traffic. (2)超级无敌联邦人 - crosses the road lane by lane and stands in the middle of traffic, with cars zipping in front of and behind him. (3)超级无敌Bohchap联邦人 - crosses the road in slow-mo style and let the whole traffic wait for him. It's like everyone in KL is playing a game of Frogger, you know?
Anyway, managed to reach Times Square before Ms N. Guess what? There'll be a S.H.E. concert on that night! Just my bloody good luck! We met Ms N at Delifrance with her sis. Had a nice chat with them. Wee Lee bid us adios to go up Genting, again. The dude got perseverance, I say. Now it's time for me to walk walk with Ms N...
I showed her around the place, picking up chats from time to time. We dun chat too much, coz I was having a blast just looking at her. I believe that sometimes, it's the moment that matters, not the words. She is a sight to behold. Not because she shines like a lighthouse, nor a shower of brilliant fireworks, but because she exudes an aura of grace and tenderness around her. It's like watching the purest of lilies. She didn't catch my eyes on first sight, but the more I look at her, the better she looks, until I'm totally sucked in and had nothing better to look at but her. Yet, seeing is all I do, coz doing anything beyond seeing would seem intrusive. It would be a desecration to perfection. So I just watched and indulged.
A friend once called me a hopeless romantic. I think I'm just hopeless. :P
Am I in love? I dunno. Experience = 0. Am I interested in her? Maybe. Am I intrigued by her? Definately. Her eyes looked like there's an ocean of emotions in her, waiting to be explored. Black hair that flows like curtains of waterfalls. A gentle smile emerged on her face from time to time, like a bunny hiding in the bushes, popping its head out to peek at the world. The world seems to fade into a blur, all the sound dimmed. Only her face is still in clear focus, only her voice is relevant. None of the 4 seasons can match her. There should be a new season, where the flowers grow, the rivers flow, the birds chirp, the stars shine... just for her.
I am clumsy with words, so none of these would do her justice. But I have to try anyway.
I was reluctant to leave when her friend arrived, and my parents were waiting for me at home for dinner. I had to go, but we settled to meet for dinner at my place tomorrow. I couldn't wait till then!
So how will things turn out? Stay tuned for the next episode!

Genting! (Day 2)
Yo! We continue our little escapade. Day 1 hadn't ended when me and Wee Lee made our first run at the casino... at 12am! Well, quite an eye-opener for me, coz I never see RM 100 disappear in 10mins before. You go, pal! :P
Woke up the next day at 8.30am, n he had already went for his 2nd run at the casino and actually won some money. Well, if the money is not coming into my pockets for sure, I ain't gonna gamble. Went to Hainam Restaurant for breakfast. Quaint little place. Check this out.

The satisfied customers.

Me trying to be Wong Kar Wai for once.

After that, we loitered a bit so that when we go for rides, the Merlions won't appear at Genting. We just go at everything with our Unlimited Theme Park pass, even the very unimaginative Pirate Train. Can you imagine a fright ride with only broken statues and without a single live actor? Anyway, luckily not everything is as disappointing. Check out the photos tour. We even went for a ride on Jumbo.

First World Hotel, Third World Facilities. Stayed there for choral festival in Dec 2003. Human pigeon holes. Luckily this time we're staying at Genting Hotel.

The formidable Space Shot, along with its puny dangling victims...

... which includes us! This ride is truly bitchin', free falling from a 9-storey height, with a view of the surrounding valley.

The Spinner. This is the angle and height it spun us. A sort of Jumbo ride, but with Steroids I think.

RM 3 for a donkey ride. Pretty affordable. Pretty dumb. Pretty fun too!

Here's me trying to mount *wink* my donkey.

Successfully mounted on my first try. See how please I am with myself? :P

Zhang Yan shot the brudders at the Theme Park entrance. YO YO YO!

Yup, that's me! Sky Venture may be a bit ex at RM 50, but it's one hell of an experience. You get to dress like parachuters, learn sign language, and have every hair on ur head to be completely blown dry. Best of all, it comes with a free show from the instructor himself, who really flew like a butterfly in that room. Me? More like a crippled kite, but at least I floated. :) The bloody management don't allow photography coz they wanna sell these stuffs, so my friend Zhang Yan have to sneak a pix for this one. :P

We actually got certificates for Sky Venture. This has got to be the fastest certificate I ever obtained. The last one I got cost me 4 bloody years and thousands of dollars...

After a long, long rest, we finally came out again for dinner at 10pm (!?). This restaurant actually have the balls to serve us stinky rice! Luckily, I always sniff my food before eating them. You never know what shit they hope to slip into our mouths unnoticed. They changed the rice as soon as we told them, without hesitation, which further proved that they knew the rice stinks. They might have pissed in our tofu to get back at us, but I hope not... Here me n Wee Lee expressed our love for stinky rice.

The nice ceiling lights of First World Plaze, where we dined.

So ended Day 2. It's been great fun with my 2 pals. We'd be going to KL the following day, so stay tuned for Day 3!

Genting! (Day 1)
Now, I know this is a really late update, but I'm too busy having fun these days, so got no time to update this blog. Finding the right place to host my photos is a bitch too. Anyway, here goes!
As soon as the bus cleared the Johor side of the Tuas checkpoint, the bus broke down! Makes you wonder if Microsoft had been secretly making busses that crash like Windows... Anyway, with a change of bus and 5 hrs of ass-crumpling journey, we're finally in KL. However, the title of this post is not KL, izzit? We coveniently missed the bus to Genting, hence the RM 70 taxi ride up. I seriously think this dude plays Daytona or Gran Turismo during his free time, coz he cuts corners and speeds like there's an army of Ustaz on his tail. It took him only 1 hr to zip us from KL to Genting! The night view of the mountain top when we're ascending was amazing. Too bad we failed to take any pix of it coz we're travelling at warp speed. Anyway, I'll leave you with our only photo of the day, and stay tuned for Day 2!

I'm Leaving On A Jetplane... NOT!
I just finished packing for a trip home to Genting Highlangs, Malaysia. Hope it'll be fun. But what I hope most is my 'ulterior motive' to succeed. This will make a difference of me singing "All by Myself" or "Two Become One" in the near future! :P Will tell you all after I'm back on Sunday.

... And then, there is Light
HELLO WORLD! This blog sure have floated around in my mind for a long long time. It's only now that I have the determination to materialise it. Well, better late than never! This will be a depository for all my inspirations, thoughts, and basically just crap. Hey, nobody said it was easy. Looking forward to more articles! (i prefer that term to "posts")
