Anyway, my parents came to S'pore from 11/8 till 14/8 to attend my NIE convocation. I settled them down at Copthorne Orchid Hotel at $138++ per night. Guess what? That room was given to someone else, so the hotel arranged my parents to live in a $400++ suite for $138+++! Breakfast included! And I get to bask in their luxurious life style too, hehe... :P The hotel has shuttle busses to send the residents to Orchard road and back too, so it's a pretty good deal.
During their stay, I can only visit them at night coz I still got school work to do during weekdays. Feel kind of guilty, but they keep reassuring me that it's ok. They said that they're on holiday anyway, so they handle with or without me. I dare say I got the most happening parents among my friends! :) During convocation, some friends even commented that my parents seem very ci2 xiang2! So proud of my parents!(the other way round liao??) Haha...
My parent's visit actually coincides with 2 very significant events (besides my convocation, of coz :P). The first one is the Olympic Games opening ceremony, and the second one is the swearing in of S'pore's new Prime Minister, Lee Sian Long (son of S'pore's first ever PM, Lee Kuan Yew). It's quite amusing to see the Father sworn in front of his Son. My parents shall therefore remember the day of my convocation as the day the new PM assumes office...
For the rest of the days, we went Fish 'n Co Glasshouse to have fish and chips coz I know they like it. We enjoyed that place very much. We also went to Sentosa, and get to see the pink dolphins show. And I was dumb enough to smack my face into a glass aquarium at Underwater World! Sheesh... :P
Well, here's some photos for those days. Will post more photos in Part 2, plus news on my first teacher's day. Stay tuned for that! :)

Good Genes :P

Cockoo!
